Customize Welcome Message FAQs

What is the purpose of the welcome message?

For added security, you can set up a custom welcome message that will display on the eBranch logon page. The welcome message will display each time you access eBranch from the same computer. This is to ensure that you are accessing the genuine Wescom eBranch site.

How do I setup a welcome message?

To setup your welcome message, logon to eBranch then click on Options from the left side menu, click Security, then Customize Welcome Message. You can enter a new message in the text box then click submit.

Am I required to setup a welcome message on eBranch?

No, the welcome message is an optional feature of eBranch.

Why is my welcome message not displayed?

The welcome message will not be displayed on the logon page if the browser cookies have been deleted.

Why does my welcome message disappear each time I set it up?

The welcome message will not be displayed if your browser is set to clear cookies automatically. In order for your message to display you must accept cookies from eBranch.

How do I change my welcome message?

To change your welcome message, logon to eBranch then click on Options from the left side menu, click Security, then Customize Welcome Message. You can enter a new message in the text box then click submit.

Do I have to set up a different welcome message on each computer that I use?

If you would like to setup a custom welcome message to display on eBranch and you use more than one computer, you will need to setup a message on each computer.

I setup a welcome message while using my Internet Explorer browser, but that message does not display when I use Firefox?

If you are using an alternate browser such as Firefox, you will need to set up a welcome message to display on that browser.

How do I delete my welcome message?

To delete the welcome message, logon to eBranch then click Options from the left side menu, click Security, then Customize Welcome Message. Check the box, “Disable the welcome message” then click Submit.
